Ferrari signs partnership with Velas blockchain firm


Starting from the 2022 season, the Velas Network AG blockchain company will become a premium partner of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 championship team in order to “create exclusive digital content for its fans.”

Based in Switzerland, Velas will also be the title sponsor of the Ferrari Esports Series virtual competitions; and the Italian automaker’s esports team. Which will participate in the Formula One Esports Series championship.

Thus, the parties signed a multi-year partnership agreement.

VLX token added more than 65% during the week

Said Mattia Binotto, General Manager and Team Principal at Scuderia Ferrari.

Against the background of the news, the Velas (VLX) token added more than 65% (at the time of writing) during the week, according to CoinGecko.

FTX and Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team

Recall that earlier in June, NASCAR racer Landon Cassill has partnered with cryptocurrency broker Voyager to receive his salary in digital coins. The agreement with Voyager will last for 19 races, for which they pay him in BitcoinLitecoin and VGX token.  

In September, the FTX exchange signed a sponsorship agreement with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team participating in the championship. The agreement came into force with the Russian Grand Prix, which started on September 26.

Therefore, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team placed FTX logo on the cars, including trucks in the Truck Racing series, and on the pilots’ equipment. The symbols of the exchange also appeared on all the monitors of the partners; located in the hotel and communication rooms on the highway.
